UIW Still One of the Best in the West
The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is once again ranked in the Top 50 of private universities in the West Region of the annual Best Colleges list in U.S. News & World Report. The University ranked #39 in the report. Schools were graded on sixteen different factors including: graduation rate, financial resources, faculty resources, student excellence and student to teacher ratio.
Just last month, the University was ranked in the top fifty Best Online Bachelor’s Programs by the same magazine. UIW is already the largest Catholic University in Texas and is ranked #1 nationally among private, non-profit universities in conferring the most bachelor’s degrees to Hispanic students.
“It is a tremendous time to be a UIW Cardinal,” says Cyndi Wilson Porter, Vice-President for Enrollment Services. “The consistency with which the University is ranked on a list like the Best Colleges U.S. News and World Report is really a credit to the students and faculty who work so hard to make the University of the Incarnate Word a successful and growing institution.”
The publication also ranked UIW #22 in Best Colleges for Veterans and #39 in Best Value Schools.
