She always wanted “the hat,” – the tam doctoral candidates wear as they graduate and earn their degrees. On Saturday, May 6, Jessica Parra finally achieved her dream. The director of Student Services for UIW’s School of Professional Studies (SPS) crossed the stage and became Dr. Jessica Parra, finally earning her Doctor of Business Administration degree from UIW’s SPS program.

Major Publication Ranks UIW Among Its “Best Of” Online Programs

UIW ranked No. 61 in the nation on the list of Best Online Bachelor’s for Veterans. UIW also ranked No. 104 on the list of overall Best Online Bachelor’s degrees.

The University of the Incarnate Word School of Professional Studies (SPS), in collaboration with the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, hosted the January Education and Workforce Development Council meeting on Jan. 18. More than 100 community partners attended the event. At the meeting, community leaders discussed the changing landscape of business and the need to adapt in the face of increasing globalization.
