Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician
This Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) course prepares students with the basic competencies required to secure employment in the cardiac monitoring area of the health care industry. It also prepares students to successfully complete the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) exam. This is a non-credit course offered by the University of the Incarnate Word School of Professional Studies.
Anyone seeking an entry level position in a healthcare occupation would benefit from this certification. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the healthcare industry is projected to grow much faster than all other occupational areas in the U.S. from 2012–2022 (39%). This course is ideal for the following career paths: Telemetry Technician, Telemetry RN, EMT/Paramedic, Critical Care RN and many other healthcare positions.

Credentialing
Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be eligible to take the Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician exam offered by Cardiac Credentialing International, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute under the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 Program.
