FREE TEXTBOOKS

We provide undergraduate textbooks at no charge.

High textbook costs is an issue that all institutions of higher learning must address. Here at UIW, we know it is difficult for some students to afford textbooks on top of tuition.

Academics

The School of Professional Studies offers undergraduate and graduate programs with a curriculum designed to respond specifically to the needs of the lifestyle of an adult student. We deliver an effective and relevant instruction with a mix of academic and business professionals. Our faculty consists of scholar practitioners with real-world experience in their fields. The following degree programs offered are chosen for their content rich curriculum and their applicability to today's needs.

Class days and times are:

  1. Two nights per week; Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday. Each evening there are two class periods: 5:30-7:40 pm and 7:50-10:00 pm.
  2. One night per week from 6:00-10:00 pm. (Applies to undergraduate classes at Saidoff, University Centers, and all graduate level classes.) Graduate courses in Corpus Christi are 5:30-9:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
  3. Hybrid classes are offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings at the Northwest and Northeast Centers. Classes meet for 2 hours and 10 minutes once a week. The remainder of the week’s class time is spent online. 
    a. Tuesday (Northwest Center) and Thursday (Northeast Center) classes meet 9-11:10 am or 11:20 am–1:30 pm.
    b. Saturday classes meet 8:30–10:40 am or 10:50 am–1 pm at the Northwest Center
  4. Online classes
