UIW is located in San Antonio, Texas, known as Military City USA where faculty and staff have often been on that same path. The UIW Military and Veteran Center is here to help navigate the journey from the first day to crossing the stage and receiving a diploma.

The UIW School of Professional Studies (SPS) has been providing online education opportunities for military students for over 20 years. UIW offers degrees and student support tailored for active-duty military, veterans and their families with the motivation to succeed.
Benefits Include:
- 100% online or in-person, eight-week terms
- In-person 16-week terms available
- Special rates for veterans, active duty military, National Guard, Reservists and active duty dependents
- FREE undergraduate and graduate textbooks for active-duty students
- No academic fees for SPS degrees
- Yellow Ribbon School since 2011
- Three locations in San Antonio and one in Corpus Christi
- Online writing lab and math tutoring available
- One-on-one advisor support

Freshman
Are you in high school? Want to learn more about life at UIW? Freshman students at the UIW Broadway campus are students applying for college immediately after graduating high school or who haven't attended college since high school.
Transfer
Transfer students at the UIW Broadway campus have college credits from another institution, are working on a second undergraduate degree, are a transient student (taking a UIW course but enrolled at another institution) or are a non-degree seeking student.
Online Programs
The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is for students looking for online programs for associates, bachelor's and master's degrees.
