Credentialing

Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be eligible to take the Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician certification exam offered by Cardiac Credentialing International, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute under the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 Program.

Course Objectives

Prepare students with the basic competencies required to secure employment in the cardiac monitoring area of the health care industry.
Prepare students to successfully complete the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) exam.

Anyone seeking an entry level position in a health care occupation that, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, as a whole is projected to grow much faster than all other occupational areas in the US from 2012–2022 (39%).

Course Withdrawals/Refunds

The Personal Development and Continuing Education office reserves the right to cancel any non-credit course, in which case registration fees are fully refunded. If it becomes necessary to cancel the course, you will be notified by email or phone. It is important that we have your current contact information.

If you request to withdraw from a course prior to the course start date, you will receive a refund minus an administrative fee of $35. Requests for withdrawals, refunds or transfers must be in writing. Submit requests via email to OPPD@uiwtx.edu or fax to: (210) 832-2135. No refunds will be issued after course start date.
