The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening for its new ADCaP Killeen/Fort Hood Center beginning at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8. The center, located at 1711 E. Central Texas Expressway, Suite 312, is in the heart of Killeen and easily accessible from all areas of town. A reception with the Killeen Chamber of Commerce will follow from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The 4,500 square-foot facility has three classrooms and is staffed by a fulltime advisor/ Director of Operations from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Undergraduate classes will be held from 6-10p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Graduate classes will be held from 6-10 p.m. Wednesdays.
Five undergraduate degrees are being offered at this center, including: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with concentrations in General Management, Business and Marketing; Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Development; Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources; Bachelor of Arts in Administration; and Bachelor of Art in Applied Science. Three graduate degrees are being offered: Master in Business Administration (MBA); Master of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Organizational Development; and Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership. Applications are now being accepted. Fall II classes will begin Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015.
UIW’s Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCaP) was established in 1995 to give working adults the opportunity to complete their degree while still maintaining their family, social and career responsibilities. ADCaP offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Killeen/Fort Hood. The program has a reduced tuition rate, provides free textbooks to all undergraduate students, and has accelerated 8-week terms year-round. We also have special tuition rates for military and veterans.
