Admissions

In 1995, the School of Professional Studies (formerly known as Adult Degree Completion Program) was established with the purpose of extending the benefits of undergraduate education to persons unable to attend college in a traditional college setting. UIW realized the difficulties working adults had balancing a career, family and social responsibilities when wanting to start or continue their college degree. Students are encouraged to attend two courses every 8-week term. This pace will allow the student to earn 36 credits per year, accelerating their time to graduation.

To Apply:

Fill out the free online application. The application deadline is the Sunday one week prior to class start date. For assistance with an application, please email our admissions staff or call us at (210) 757-0202 or toll free at (877) 603-1130.

Active-Duty Military Admissions | Veteran Admissions

Students who applied and were previously enrolled in the School of Professional Studies (formerly ADCaP) or School of Applied Sciences (formerly UIW Online) but have not attended class in more than two terms do not need to complete a new application. To re-enroll into classes, please fill out the Student Readmission Form.

Review and follow the requirements noted for undergraduate and graduate admissions.

As part of the admissions process, request official transcripts from all previous schools you have attended after you've submitted an application. No admission can be completed, and no formal degree plan prepared, until we receive current (issued within the last 6 months) official transcripts from all post-secondary schools you have attended.  Students with fewer than 24 transferable hours must also submit high school transcripts as well.

Official transcripts should be mailed to:
EAP Admissions CPO #294
University of the Incarnate Word
4301 Broadway
San Antonio, Texas 78209

Universities and colleges may send electronic transcripts to eapapply@uiwtx.edu

To expedite processing, you may fax all of your unofficial transcripts to 210-428-6352 or e-mail them to eapapply@uiwtx.edu.
