The Core Curriculum is an integrated and sequenced course of study, which constitutes 45 - 46 semester hours of a student's degree plan. Many of these courses may be transferred from a community college. The content of the Core Curriculum is dictated by the traditional concept of liberal arts education. It includes a carefully devised study of rhetoric (intelligent reading, correct writing, and effective speaking), wellness, philosophy, theology, literature and the arts, mathematics and the natural sciences, history, the social and behavioral sciences, computer literacy, and language.
